Fatal Collision King Street, Hammersmith

Around 17:40hrs on Friday, 22 August, officers attended King Street, Hammersmith, following reports of a collision between a moped and a bicycle.

The cyclist, a woman in her 40s, was found with critical injuries. Despite the efforts of paramedics, she was pronounced dead at the scene. My thoughts are with the family and friends of this lady following their tragic loss.

The driver of the moped left the scene on foot, and officers are making enquiries to locate them.

This is an ongoing investigation and as such I cannot comment further at this time. I will update the community as soon as I am able to provide further information.
